CastTech Inc. · United States
Terms of Service
Effective October 12, 2026 · Version 2026-10-12-plans
These Terms govern ScanPost by CastTech, provided by CastTech Inc., a Delaware corporation (“CastTech”, “we”, “us”). By creating a business account or accepting these Terms, you agree on behalf of the business you represent (“Customer”). You must be at least 18 and authorised to bind that business. ScanPost is currently offered to US businesses.
1. The service
ScanPost provides tools for receiving, assigning, tracking and recording delivery of packages. It is software, not a courier, warehouse, insurer or physical custodian. Your business remains responsible for safeguarding packages, verifying recipients, maintaining its own delivery procedures and resolving physical loss, theft or damage.
OCR, AI interpretation and reservation matching can make mistakes. Staff must review names, tracking details, booking dates and unit assignments before confirming records or delivering packages. Integrations depend on third-party availability, permissions and sessions. We do not guarantee an uninterrupted connection or a successful update to a third-party system.
2. Accounts and acceptable use
Provide accurate account information and protect passwords, PINs and integration credentials. Administrators are responsible for staff access and actions. Do not access another customer’s records, bypass limits, interfere with security, scrape or resell the service without permission, submit unlawful content, or use third-party accounts without authorisation. Do not include unnecessary sensitive data, payment card details, government identifiers or health information in package notes.
3. Plans, payment and automatic renewal
The Free plan costs $0 USD and includes up to 50 parcels per calendar month. Free includes one user account and manual guest entry; it excludes additional admin or staff accounts, CSV imports, CSV exports and reservation integrations. Basic and Pro include those additional tools. No card is required for Free, it is not a time-limited trial, and it does not automatically convert to a paid subscription. Upgrade only when you choose a paid plan and confirm payment.
| Plan | Monthly | Annual, paid upfront | Monthly parcels |
|---|---|---|---|
| Free | $0 USD | No annual charge | 50 |
| Basic | $49 USD | $441 USD | 500 |
| Pro | $99 USD | $891 USD | 2,000 |
Paid annual prices include a 25% discount against 12 monthly payments. The monthly equivalent is $36.75 for Basic or $74.25 for Pro; an annual subscription is charged in full, not in monthly instalments. Prices apply per organisation unless a separate written agreement says otherwise. Existing paid subscriptions keep their agreed prices unless the customer confirms a change or a separately notified price change takes effect under these terms.
Your paid subscription renews automatically each month or year at the chosen interval until you cancel. By confirming checkout, you authorise Stripe to collect the displayed recurring amount and applicable taxes using your payment method. Stripe provides payment processing, receipts, invoices and the billing portal. Automated label processing is subject to rate and fair-use limits to protect availability; the current processing allowance is six requests per included monthly parcel, with no extra charge. Manual entry and existing package delivery remain available when the processing allowance is reached. You must keep billing information current. We may suspend new receiving and scanning if payment fails or a subscription expires, while preserving access to existing package records and delivery actions while your account remains available.
4. Parcel allowances
A parcel counts when a new package is saved as received. Repeat scans, viewing records and delivery updates do not add another parcel. Allowances reset on the first day of each calendar month at 00:00 UTC, including for annual subscriptions. Unused allowance does not roll over, and an annual plan does not provide a yearly pool.
At your limit, receiving new parcels pauses until you upgrade or the next monthly reset. Free can upgrade to Basic or Pro. Basic can upgrade to Pro. For more than 2,000 parcels a month, contact hello@cast.tech to agree a higher allowance before use. Existing package records and delivery actions remain available at the limit. There are no automatic overage charges.
5. Changes, cancellation and refunds
Administrators can open their profile and select Upgrade plan or Manage plan & billing to change payment details, review available plan changes or cancel future renewals. Cancel before the next renewal date to avoid that renewal charge. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the paid period, and does not by itself delete account records. If the billing portal is unavailable, contact hello@cast.tech for assistance.
Checkout or the billing portal shows the amount and timing of any plan change, including applicable prorated charges or credits, before confirmation. Previous usage still counts toward the current monthly allowance after a plan change. We do not ordinarily refund unused time or unused parcels following voluntary cancellation, except where required by law or agreed by CastTech. Contact hello@cast.tech promptly about duplicate, incorrect or unauthorised charges.
We will give advance notice of material price changes before they affect a future renewal, with an opportunity to cancel. No term here removes a non-waivable refund or cancellation right.
6. Customer data and privacy
You retain your rights in your data. You grant CastTech permission to process it as necessary to provide, maintain and secure ScanPost, carry out your instructions and meet legal obligations. You are responsible for having the required rights and providing appropriate notices to staff, guests and other people whose information you submit.
Our Privacy Policy describes current processing, providers, retention and rights requests. Contact us to arrange any data-processing agreement your use requires before uploading personal information. Package exports are available to authorised users. Account closure, deletion or other data requests can be submitted to hello@cast.tech. Cancelling a subscription alone is not a deletion request, and access should not be relied on as permanent archival storage.
7. Third-party services
You authorise only the integrations you choose and must comply with the relevant provider’s terms. We may store integration credentials or session data to carry out authorised functions. Third parties can change their systems, restrict access or require renewed authentication. An integration does not imply that CastTech is an official partner of that provider. Third-party names identify those services and remain their owners’ property.
8. Ownership and availability
CastTech and its licensors retain rights in ScanPost’s software, branding and documentation. During your authorised use, we grant your business a limited right to use the service. You may not copy, distribute or commercially exploit the software except as permitted by law or written agreement. We may maintain or improve features and will aim to minimise disruption; no service-level commitment applies unless separately agreed in writing.
9. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or suspend access for nonpayment, material breach, security risks or legal requirements. Where reasonable, we will notify you and allow an opportunity to resolve the issue. Security or legal issues may require immediate action. You may end use and cancel your subscription. Before closing an account, export records you need and contact us about deletion or transition requirements. Terms intended to survive termination, including payment obligations, ownership and liability provisions, continue to apply.
10. Warranties and liability
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or noninfringement. We do not warrant that every extracted field, match, delivery record or third-party update is correct.
To the extent permitted by law, neither party is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits or lost business arising from these Terms. CastTech’s aggregate liability relating to the service will not exceed the fees paid or payable by the Customer for ScanPost during the 12 months preceding the event giving rise to the claim. These limitations do not exclude fraud, wilful misconduct or liability that cannot lawfully be limited, and do not limit your obligation to pay valid charges.
11. Governing law and disputes
Delaware law governs these Terms, excluding conflict-of-laws rules, subject to any mandatory law that applies. Unless mandatory law provides otherwise, the parties submit to the state or federal courts in Delaware. Before commencing a claim, please contact hello@cast.tech so we can attempt to resolve the issue. This does not prevent urgent legal relief or limit statutory complaint rights.
12. General terms and contact
These Terms and an applicable written order form or separate agreement govern your use. If a provision is unenforceable, the rest continues in effect. A failure to enforce a right is not a waiver. We may update these Terms and will give appropriate notice of material changes; changes do not retroactively alter accrued rights. A separately signed agreement takes precedence where it expressly conflicts with these Terms.
